Abstract Painting Workshop Success

As part of the 2015 Surrey Artists Open Studios event, Andrew held a workshop entitled 'An Introduction to Abstract Painting' at the Grammar School, Guildford.

The workshop was fully booked, with feedback suggesting that everyone had very enjoyable and productive day.

Excerpts from feedback below:

"Thank you so much for organising the Abstract Workshop. I enjoyed it a lot and cannot fault the organisation, content and presentation of the session. I was totally engrossed the whole time. Even though I had previously encountered many of the ideas that you introduced, you often put a completely new slant on them and thus held my attention throughout. The many references to other artists was appreciated especially as some were unfamiliar to me. I am now enjoying looking these up and ideas have already started to flow." Janet

"The workshop was brilliant for me. I liked the fact that it was quite structured, but not restrictive; I learnt quite a bit conceptually about abstract art even though I have done art degrees in the distant past, this was presented so clearly and simply. Above all, it felt extremely liberating. I would not have wanted anything different" Lenka

"Thank you for a most enjoyable time last Saturday plus all the information, tips, and help, also for your useful critique of my previous paintings. It was well structured, taking us gently along so as not so to be overwhelmed by "abstract ". Personally I would say, you got it spot on." Loretta.
